Ok, so you’ve booked your party, you’ve filled the seats. Now what?
What do you bring?
Let’s go through it together!
Step 1:
Whatever project you are doing the night of the party – make one!
Whatever you touch along the way, write it down. This is a great start for your supplies list.
Suggested Supplies List:
Here is a list of what I made sure to bring to every party. This list is comprehensive but you may think of some things to add! Â

- Wood (or whatever you’re painting on)
- Stencils for the night
- Transfer Tape
- Stain
- Paint
- Stain and Paint Example Boards
- Project Mock Up
- Aprons
- Tweezers
- Screw Drivers
- Tape Measures or Rulers
- Scissors
- Xacto Knife
- Painters Tape
- Small Paint Brushes
- Sanding Blocks
- Sawtooth Hangers
Disposable Supplies
- Table Covers
- Painting Sponges (or brushes)
- Baby Wipes
- Disposable Gloves
- Garbage Bags
- Paper Plates
Marketing Supplies
- Business Cards
- Giveaways
- Ballots for Draws
- Photo Props
- Photo Release FormsÂ
- Social Media Pages (printed on a post card so they can tag you in photos)
Extras
- Music is venue doesn’t have music
- Extra lighting if needed
- Mic and speaker if needed
That’s a list that you’ll want to bring to each party BUT if there is something special happening at the party (a birthday, retirement, bachelorette, etc), you may want to consider a little something extra (a funny hat, necklace, game, etc…)
I will also say, bring EXTRA. Extra boards, extra stencils, extra paint, etc. It’s better to bring too much than to run out!
Now, I know it seems like A LOT. And it is. But if you pack it right, it’s not bad. Â
I would pack my supplies that I use for each party in plastic bins with separate compartments (scissors, tape measures, etc) and my disposable supplies in a Thirty One tote. This way, I knew before each party I would need to top up that tote with supplies.Â
My paints I used the Thirty One Organizing Utility Tote with THESE BOTTLES
